Hi and welcome to my very first blog!
I can’t tell you how excited I was when asked if I would do this. Actually, to be honest, two of the volunteers approached me one morning looking so serious I thought it was that time of year again.......you know?! FLEA TREATMENT TIME.....so I bolted back indoors and hid under the blanket, holding my breath so that they wouldn’t know where I was. It’s the tail though darn it - I forget that every time! Mental note to oneself......whenever you hide, fold –in – the - tail! Anyway, they found me and after a few strokes and cuddles, spoke with me about doing this blog thing and would I consider it so I thought hey! let’s give it a go.
I’m George by the way or Gorgeous George to my pals, and I am one of the resident cats (or Free Rangers as we are otherwise known) here at the ABC Animal Sanctuary. I live in the Barn cattery and share a couch with my pal Arthur who is also a Free Ranger and then further along our residential abode we have my fellow feline pals who are ever hopeful to find themselves new homes.
As the months go by I will introduce you to many more of my associates residing in other parts of the Sanctuary such as the donkeys Chocolate (who has a penchant for ginger nut biscuits) and Starsky & Hutch (who get into all sorts of mischief but blame everyone else!) and Dec the pig who is such a sleepy head and won’t move for anyone - but tempt him with a carrot and he turns into Usain Bolt!
