Jill was rescued along with Jack from an elderly lady who could no longer look after them.

 

Jill was born with deformed back legs but the vet assures us that she is not in any pain.

 

Several years ago, Jill managed to slash her eye – we are not sure how she did it - but with the swift action of our vet,  who arranged for her to go to the Royal Veterinary College hospital near Hatfield and the medical team there, she did not lose her eye (as we had feared) and has kept half the sight.

 

In spite of her deformity and slight sight problem, Jill is a lovable little pony who enjoys life and runs around quite happily with the other Shetlands.
